Superb sub-alpine and alpine scenery
Hiking the Auriol Trail in Yukon’s Kluane National Park is a must if you’re in the area. There aren’t many accessible hikes in the park that offer what this one does – superb sub-alpine and alpine scenery within 8 kilometres of the start of the trail.

The people are so friendly and welcoming
Newfoundland is a phenomenal province to visit for outdoor adventures. Not only is the scenery exceptional, especially along the coast and in Gros Morne National Park, but the people are so friendly and welcoming that they are reason enough to go. Over a couple of summers, I have spent almost a month in Newfoundland.

Prince Edward Island (PEI) is Canada’s smallest province, measuring only 220 km (137 mi) long by 64 km (40 mi) at its widest. It’s a great cycling destination for people who like quiet back roads and little in the way of hills.

A real out there wilderness experience
One of the great pleasures in my life is camping and backpacking in the Canadian Rockies. With years of experience under my belt, I don’t give much thought to the difficulty of a trip unless it’s a real out there wilderness experience.
